Jennifer is the founding principal of Openstudio. She holds a Bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Masters in Architecture from Princeton University and a PhD from UCL. She has worked on public projects in South Africa and museum and art gallery projects in the United States and the United Kingdom before founding the practice.
Carina is a Partner in the practice. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cape Town and a Masters degree from the Politecnico Milano in Italy. She has worked on projects in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Italy, Georgia, Colombia and Nigeria.
Sasha is a Senior Architect and our Practice Manager. She has a Bachelor of Science in Art and Design from MIT and a Masters in Architecture from Princeton University. She has worked in France, the UK, India and Boston on infrastructure and residential projects.
Tomoko is a Senior Interior Architect. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Interior and Spatial Design from the University of the Arts, London, and a Professional Diploma in Architecture from London Metropolitan University. She has worked on a wide range and scale of projects: mixed-use developments, residential developments, private houses, commercial interiors, gallery facilities in the United Kingdom, a penthouse and residential projects in Japan, a commercial interior in the United States, a penthouse project in India, a residential development in Malaysia, a museum project in Qatar, residential projects in Cyprus, a hotel interior in France and a spa resort development in Croatia.
Beth is a South African registered architect, who holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Masters in Architecture (with distinction) from the University of Cape Town; where she was awarded the prize for the best final year student in Architecture. Her background working on cultural buildings and projects in South Africa and the United Kingdom brings a strong interest in narrative design to the studio.
