In July 2020, a team from South African television filmed an excerpt for the cultural programme The Insider at the Swartberg House. The short (20 minute) film tells the story of the making of the house through some of the people who contributed to it: the builder, the stone mason, the landscape contractor and the designer of some interior furnishings. Jennifer Beningfield discusses the key design issues for the house, and how it looks towards a sustainable future.
