The landscaped courtyard between the 1906 Edwardian fire station and the new brick and glazed brick building has been designed to be an organic and quiet place. The architecture of the existing and contemporary buildings define the courtyard garden, which is made to be both experienced at ground floor level, and viewed from above.

The planters and fountains for the courtyard garden are being cast in place on site.
