The Scotland prototypes have been designed to very high environmental and space standards. The Type C reaches Gold standard, an outstanding level of construction quality, spatial generosity (in order to accommodate disabled access) and storage.

In addition to the high levels of daylight which characterise the 2020 designs, these attributes demonstrate how housing can transform to offer better choices to home owners, and how the construction of new housing can address some of the challenges facing the environment.
