We are please to announce that planning consent has been granted for the comprehensive retrofit and refurbishment of an existing 1960s building forming part of St Mary’s Magdalene School in London W2. Our proposal aims to ensure the future of the school building, address structural safety issues and support the goals of the school to reduce energy use and maintenance costs. It also aligns with the goals of the school to lower their carbon footprint and to use materials with low embodied carbon.
The proposals have their origin in the necessity to remove and replace the existing RAAC roof to the building. This process will result in closure of the building and disruption of the fabric to the extent that a full retrofit is feasible.
