The St. Mary N8 project has started on site with a very challenging construction programme, as the students will be moving in in September. A new Early Years area is being created on the ground floor, while the facade screening will help the entire school to feel more comfortable in the summer months.

Many 1960s and 1970s school buildings face challenges not only with overheating, but with accommodating different demographics and with communicating the identify and values of the school, when the base building is often a kit of parts that does not support thermal performance or a sense of place. In this project we are bringing both challenges together and look forward to sharing the results.
