We completed the comprehensive retrofit and refurbishment of St Mary Magdalene in time for the students to return after the Easter break, just in time for the heatwaves that have made schools really challenging. The robust ribbed cladding gives the school a sense of identity and care, while the thermal performance is excellent. A teacher has commented that the retrofitted building is considerably more comfortable than the adjacent Victorian school. We are pleased that the passive techniques are so successful and are helping the students to be more comfortable in their environments and more able to learn.
